Pyroelectric IR detectors
Dual- and quad channel detectors for NDIR gas measurement
The pyroelectric detectors are based on sensitive elements of MEMS technology. The front electrode is transparent optically so that the infrared radiation is absorbed by the active area in a wide spectral range from 2 - 15 µm. The absorbed infrared emission forms a temperature gradient and is converted into a measurable electrical current due to the pyroelectric properties of the sensor material.
